Gas prices in New York inched up to an average of $3.10 per gallon on Monday, a slight increase from $3.09 last week, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Prices have risen about 4 cents since last month but remain lower than last year’s $3.21 average.
Statewide prices have fluctuated between a low of $3.04 in December and a high of $3.64 in May. New York’s current average is slightly below the national average of $3.13, which also saw a small increase from last week.
Drivers should prepare for potential price shifts as market trends continue to evolve.
