Congresswoman Tenney reintroduces bill to restore Delphi pensions

  • Staff Report

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney has reintroduced the Susan Muffley Act of 2025 to restore pensions for over 21,000 Delphi Salaried Retirees. Named after the late wife of a Delphi retiree, the bill seeks to reverse pension cuts made after Delphi’s 2009 bankruptcy. Tenney is joined by bipartisan co-sponsors, including Representatives Mike Turner, Marcy Kaptur, and Gwen Moore.

Supporters argue the pension loss was unjust and have pushed for its reversal for nearly 14 years. Tenney has consistently advocated for the bill, previously securing House passage in 2022 and pressing Senate leaders to act.

The legislation aims to provide long-overdue financial relief to affected retirees, particularly in New York and the Midwest.
