A federal judge has ordered the CDC to restore medical information websites that were removed under a Trump executive order limiting recognition of transgender identities. Doctors argued the deletions harmed patient care by restricting access to critical health data.
The missing webpages included resources on bullying, contraception, AIDS prevention, and female participation in clinical trials. The advocacy group Doctors for America sued, claiming the removals increased public health risks and made treatment more difficult.
The judge ruled that restoring the pages was in the public interest, preventing potential harm from delayed medical care. The order requires the CDC to reinstate the information by midnight Tuesday.
