Interlaken’s Public Works crews will soon have new traffic cones, safety vests, and work-zone signs, thanks to a $1,900 equipment grant from the New York State Local Technical Assistance Program Center.

The grant is one of 30 awarded statewide for 2025, funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.

David Orr, program director, emphasized the importance of quality work-zone equipment in protecting workers and improving efficiency.

These materials aim to enhance safety and communication during road projects.
