  • Staff Report

The Seneca County Board of Supervisors is set to meet on Tuesday, February 11 in Waterloo with several key resolutions on the agenda. The meeting includes resolutions on public safety, health, infrastructure, and financial management.

One of the significant resolutions involves authorizing a new wireless system purchase, valued at $27,547.75, to replace an outdated system that has reached the end of its life cycle. The county’s Information Technology department has vetted this option through competitive quotes and secured the necessary funding in the 2025 budget.

The board will also vote on the approval of a $39,283.05 expenditure for a new Ford Explorer for the Code Enforcement Office. The funds for this purchase have already been allocated in the current budget.

In public health, the board will consider accepting a $20,286 Performance Incentive Program Grant from the New York State Department of Health. This grant will fund eligible services under Article 6 and require adjustments to the county’s 2025 budget.

Additionally, a new contract with Veterans One-Stop Center of Western New York will be proposed, using up to $100,000 in grant funding to provide services to veterans and their families throughout the county.

On the infrastructure side, the board will discuss moving forward with construction projects at the Finger Lakes Regional Airport. They will authorize bids for a new T-hangar and seek a federal grant for apron pavement improvements.

The meeting will be streamed online for those who cannot attend in-person.
