Sabres win streak ends in Nashville

The Buffalo Sabres (22-27-5) saw their four-game win streak snapped with a 6-4 loss to the Nashville Predators (19-28-7) on Saturday night at Bridgestone Arena.

Alex Tuch led Buffalo with a goal and two assists, while Bowen Byram, Rasmus Dahlin, and Dylan Cozens also found the back of the net. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 17 saves in the loss.

After falling behind 2-0 early, the Sabres battled back with goals from Byram and Dahlin to tie the game before the first intermission. Nashville regained control in the second period, with Filip Forsberg and Brady Skjei each scoring twice to put the Predators ahead 5-3.

Cozens pulled Buffalo within one on a power-play goal at 12:30 of the third, and Zach Benson appeared to tie it moments later, but the goal was overturned for offside. Jonathan Marchessault sealed the game for Nashville with an empty-netter in the final minute.

Box Score

The Sabres will get two weeks off for the 4 Nations Face-Off before returning to action on Saturday, February 22, when they host the New York Rangers.
