Marcus Molinaro, former U.S. representative for New York’s 19th district, visited Cornell’s Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy on Jan. 31. Invited by the Brooks Institute of Politics and Global Affairs, Molinaro served as a guest lecturer in a course taught by ex-Congressman Steve Israel, where he emphasized the importance of early engagement with young public service aspirants.

Molinaro, who began his political journey at 19, shared experiences from his roles as mayor, county executive, and U.S. representative. He also participated in a panel discussing the future of Congress and engaged with student organizations.

Students praised the visit, noting Molinaro’s dedication to bipartisan cooperation and public service. The school’s program continues to feature political leaders to help students develop key policymaking and conflict resolution skills.
