Egg prices have surged nearly 40% since January 2024, with the USDA predicting a further 20% increase this year. Bird flu outbreaks, which force farms to slaughter entire flocks, continue to disrupt supply, causing long-term price instability.
Customers have reported seeing surcharge notices posted at some Waffle House locations.
