THURSDAY HS BASKETBALL REPORT: Honeoye boys win 11th straight, hand South Seneca first loss; Lyons girls roll past Clyde-Savannah

Thursday night featured 10 Wayne-Finger Lakes high school basketball games with exciting league matchups.

The slate was highlighted by the Honeoye boys, who secured an 11th consecutive victory and delivered South Seneca their first loss of the season. Meanwhile, the Lyons girls dominated Clyde-Savannah, sweeping the season series.

BOYS BASKETBALL (1/23)

Honeoye (11-1) 62

The Bulldogs took control early, opening with a 10-0 run in the first six minutes and ending the first quarter up 17-6. By halftime, they had stretched their lead to 33-18. Honeoye extended the margin to 19 with 4:48 left in the third quarter, but the Falcons fought back, outscoring the Bulldogs 35-22 the rest of the way. Despite the late surge, the Falcons couldn’t complete the comeback as the two teams split the season series.
