Rt. 104 crash in Ontario results in minor injuries, tickets issued

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that occurred late Saturday morning on State Route 104 in the Town of Ontario, resulting in minor injuries and citations for both drivers involved.

Authorities say Michelle Williams, 37, of Williamson, was driving west on Route 104 near Cortland Drive when she failed to stop at a red light. Her vehicle collided nearly head-on with another driven by Alexander Budynski, 33, of Rochester, who was turning left onto Route 104 from Cortland Drive.

Williams reported minor pain and was examined by emergency medical services but declined further treatment. Budynski was not injured in the incident.

Deputies cited Williams for failing to obey the traffic signal. Budynski was ticketed for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree after deputies discovered his driver’s license was suspended.

The Ontario and Williamson fire departments, the Town of Ontario Ambulance, and Sullivan’s Towing provided assistance at the scene.
