UPS and the U.S. Postal Service have ended their SurePost delivery contract, shifting package delivery entirely to UPS drivers.
This change reduces transit times from 2–7 days to 2–6 days and excludes delivery to PO boxes, military addresses, and U.S. territories like Alaska and Puerto Rico.
The change increases delivery volumes for UPS drivers, creating new jobs and overtime opportunities.
UPS stated its core services, including Ground and Next Day Air, remain unaffected. Customers with packages bound for PO boxes can redirect them to street addresses using UPS MyChoice.
