The Sennett Fire Department responded to 635 calls for service in 2024, marking the busiest year in its 83-year history. Officials thanked the department’s dedicated members for their commitment to ensuring swift and reliable assistance for residents and visitors in the Town of Sennett.
“This milestone reflects the hard work of our volunteers and the strong collaboration with our allied fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies,” the department said in a statement. “We’re proud to serve and look forward to continued cooperation in 2025.”
The department’s calls in 2024 spanned a range of emergencies:
- Fire (Confirmed): 18 (2.8%)
- EMS: 302 (47%)
- Motor Vehicle Crashes (MVC): 38 (6%)
- Hazardous Conditions: 19 (3%)
- Service Calls: 32 (5%)
- False Alarms: 36 (5.7%)
- Good Intent: 149 (23.5%)
- Weather-Related Incidents: 39 (6.1%)
The department acknowledged its members’ dedication in handling this diverse workload and thanked their partners for assistance throughout the year.
