JPMorgan Chase has ordered hybrid employees to return to the office five days a week starting in March 2025, citing benefits like improved learning, collaboration, and company culture.
This decision, outlined in a memo from CEO Jamie Dimon and other executives, acknowledges potential disagreements but emphasizes that in-office work is best for the firm.
Some employees pushed back, raising concerns about commuting costs, childcare, and mental health. Over 300 critical comments were posted on the company’s intranet before the discussion page was locked.
The bank, which has already required full-time office attendance for more than half its staff, promises 30 days’ notice and manager support for those needing flexibility.
