Frank Kruppa, director of Tompkins County Whole Health, will leave his role in February to join Cayuga Health System (CHS) as assistant vice president of community program development. The Ithaca Voice reports Kruppa will focus on launching a crisis stabilization center, slated for late 2025, and improving healthcare access in underserved areas.
Kruppa, who led Tompkins County’s COVID-19 response, has been praised for his leadership and dedication. Jeremy Porter will serve as interim Whole Health director while a national search begins for Kruppa’s successor.
Kruppa expressed optimism about continuing to serve the community through CHS and emphasized the need for innovative leadership in public health moving forward.
