Police are investigating a series of larcenies and an auto theft that occurred early Sunday morning in the village of Skaneateles.
Authorities say several unlocked vehicles were targeted on Hannum Street, Orchard Road, Sinclair Street, and W. Elizabeth Street after 2:30 a.m. Additionally, a 2014 Ford pickup truck was reported stolen from a residence on Hannum Street.
The Skaneateles Police Department is urging residents to review footage from their home security systems for any suspicious activity that may assist in the investigation. Residents are encouraged to report relevant information by calling the department at (315) 685-3819 during business hours or 911 for immediate assistance.
Officials are also reminding the public to lock their vehicles and ensure keys or fobs are not left inside to prevent further incidents.
