Rochester woman arrested on active warrant during traffic stop in Farmington

  • Staff Report

A routine traffic stop early Sunday morning led to the arrest of a Rochester woman on an active warrant.

Sharon S. Ganit, 47, of Glenwood Avenue, Rochester, was taken into custody by Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies at approximately 3:15 a.m. on State Route 332 near Loomis Road. Deputies stopped Ganit for a violation of New York State traffic law and subsequently discovered she had an outstanding warrant issued by the Rochester Police Department.

The warrant stemmed from a previous criminal mischief incident in the City of Rochester. Ganit was taken into custody without incident and later turned over to the Rochester Police Department for further processing.
