Rep. John W. Mannion officially took office on Jan. 3, representing New York’s 22nd Congressional District, which covers Central New York and the Mohawk Valley.
Mannion, who defeated incumbent Republican Brandon Williams in 2024, emphasized his commitment to improving schools, enhancing public safety, supporting Micron’s growth, and addressing immigration reform. He pledged to work collaboratively across party lines for his constituents.
A former state senator and high school science teacher, Mannion also served as the founding chairman of the Senate Committee on Disabilities, bringing experience in both education and public service to his new role.
