Steuben woman arrested for prison contraband and drug possession following trespass investigation

A Steuben County woman faces multiple charges after allegedly violating an order of protection and attempting to bring suspected fentanyl into the county jail, authorities reported Monday.

Robin A. Clark, 35, of Pulteney, was arrested on December 25 after deputies responded to a reported trespass at a residence in the Town of Prattsburgh. Investigators say Clark was found at a location she was legally ordered to avoid under a valid order of protection.

Following her arrest, Clark was taken to the Steuben County Jail, where a newly installed live body scanner revealed she was allegedly concealing suspected fentanyl on her person. Deputies recovered the substance during a subsequent search.

Clark was charged with introducing prison contraband in the first degree, a class D felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and criminal contempt in the second degree. She was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and held in lieu of $500 cash bail.
