A Rochester man was arrested following a domestic violence incident at a gas station in Victor on New Year’s Day.
Willie Devonte Kendrick, 31, of Rochester, was taken into custody after allegedly assaulting a female victim at the Mobil gas station located at 8025 State Route 96 around 8 p.m., according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the gas station after receiving a 911 call from a witness, but the parties had already left the scene. About an hour later, Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies requested assistance from Ontario County authorities at the Woodcliff Hotel, where Kendrick and the victim were staying.
The victim, who sustained facial injuries, was transported to Rochester General Hospital for treatment. Kendrick was subsequently arrested and charged with third-degree assault.
Kendrick was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment.
