The Cheshire Fire Department is actively seeking dedicated volunteers to join its team as it continues to respond to an increasing number of emergency calls across Ontario County.
Serving the towns of Canandaigua and South Bristol, the Cheshire Fire Department handles over 750 calls annually, covering 45 square miles and 13 miles of Canandaigua Lake. With state-of-the-art equipment and facilities at two stations, the department provides essential fire protection and emergency services to residential, rural, and waterfront properties.
“Our department is built on the dedication and commitment of our volunteers,” said Fire Chief Chris Brown. “Joining the Cheshire Fire Department offers a unique opportunity to serve your community, develop lifelong skills, and be part of a team that truly makes a difference.”
The department welcomes both newcomers to fire service and experienced firefighters. Training is provided, and volunteers can engage in various roles within fire and emergency operations.
