A Wolcott man faces multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated, following an October motorcycle crash in the Town of Galen, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

William A. Lyman, of Furnace Road in Wolcott, was arrested after a collision on Oct. 19 at the intersection of Kelsey Road and Brandt Road. Authorities said Lyman’s motorcycle was struck from behind by another bike, resulting in injuries. Bloodwork conducted at the hospital revealed Lyman had a blood alcohol content of .08%.

In addition to DWI, Lyman was charged with driving out of class and having an open container of alcohol. Following processing at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, he was released on traffic tickets.

Lyman is scheduled to appear in Galen Town Court on Jan. 22 for arraignment.

The investigation was led by Deputy Scribner.
