A Palmyra man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after crashing his pickup truck and injuring a pedestrian Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reported that Cory Daniel Ridley, 41, was driving a pickup truck equipped with a plow northbound on County Road 16 near Onnalinda Drive around 1:25 p.m. on December 21 when his vehicle veered off the road. Ridley’s truck struck two parked vehicles and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Deputies determined Ridley was intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated and later released on traffic tickets. Ridley is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.

The Cheshire Fire Department and Canandaigua Emergency Squad assisted at the scene.
