A Canandaigua man was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated after a crash on County Road 10 Saturday evening, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Jared Robert Johncox, 30, was driving in an intoxicated state around 5:43 p.m. on December 21 when he failed to stop and struck a vehicle in front of him near Recreation Drive.

Authorities reported that Johncox submitted to a chemical breath analysis, which revealed a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.23%, nearly three times the legal limit.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Johncox was arrested for aggravated DWI and is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.

The investigation was conducted by Deputy C. Morey, with assistance from State Police Trooper J. Eveland.
