After a week off, Syracuse men’s basketball returns to action today when it faces Maryland at noon in the Gotham Classic at the Barclays Center.
The Orange (5-5) dropped back to .500 with a 75-71 loss to Georgetown at the JMA Wireless Dome last Saturday. Syracuse has dropped five of seven since starting the season 3-0. Meanwhile, Maryland (9-2) secured a bounce-back victory over Saint Francis on Tuesday after falling to Purdue.
This will mark the first meeting between Syracuse and Maryland since November 27, 2017, and the 10th matchup overall. The Orange has won four straight in the series, with the last loss coming on December 6, 1980.
The game will be televised on ESPN, with Dave O’Brien (play-by-play) and Jay Williams (analyst) on the call.
