A propane truck rollover early Thursday morning led to a coordinated emergency response in Genoa, New York, with the driver escaping serious injury.
At 8:25 a.m., the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department, King Ferry Fire Department, and Four Town Ambulance were dispatched to the intersection of East Genoa Road and Goose Street after reports of a fuel truck accident. Upon arrival, Genoa fire officials found a propane truck in a ditch with the driver still in the cab.

Fortunately, the driver was not trapped and was helped out of the vehicle with minor injuries. After a medical evaluation, Four Town Ambulance reported the driver did not require transport to a hospital.
Genoa fire crews worked quickly to secure potential hazards from the overturned truck, while King Ferry Fire Department managed traffic control, blocking access at East Genoa Road, Goose Street, and NYS Route 90.
Assistance was also provided by Cayuga County 911, the New York State Police, and Oakwood Service.
The scene was cleared by 10 a.m., and emergency units were returned to service.
