A Seneca Falls man was arrested Monday in connection with a shoplifting incident at the local Walmart Supercenter, according to police.
Thomas M. Steele Jr., 44, was taken into custody on December 16, 2024, after an arrest warrant was issued for his involvement in the theft. Police say Steele took merchandise from the store and left without paying, bypassing all points of sale. He is also accused of conspiring with another individual to commit the crime.
Steele faces one count of petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, and one count of sixth-degree conspiracy, a class B misdemeanor. He was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where he awaits arraignment.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details were released about the second individual involved.
