A Seneca Falls man was arrested Sunday afternoon following a theft at the Walmart Supercenter that led to the discovery of illegal drugs.
Jeremiah Hall, 44, was taken into custody at 3:38 p.m. on December 15 after store staff reported he had left the checkout area with unpaid merchandise in his cart. During the arrest, a search by police revealed a white powdery substance identified as cocaine.
Hall was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors.
Following processing at the Seneca Falls Police Department, Hall was released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
