An inmate at Marcy Correctional Facility died following a use-of-force incident on December 9. The unnamed inmate was hospitalized and pronounced dead on December 10.
The Department of Corrections and Community Supervision has placed staff on administrative leave and initiated an investigation. The state attorney general and New York State Police have been notified.
