The Seneca County Women’s Coalition is calling for nominations for its prestigious “Woman of the Year” award, an annual honor recognizing women who have made significant contributions to their community. The celebration is set for March 2025 in Seneca Falls.
This annual tradition spotlights women who have played vital roles in enhancing the quality of life in Seneca County. Previous honorees include prominent figures such as Jan Caraccilo, Jane Sessler, Diana Smith, Doris Wolf, and 2024 recipient Becky Bly.
Funds raised during the event will be donated to the awardee’s charity of choice. Over its 50-plus-year history, the initiative has supported a range of local nonprofits, including Pathway Home, the Seneca Falls Backpack Program, and the Seneca Falls Performing Arts Center.
Nominations must include a resume and a statement outlining the nominee’s community contributions. Submissions should be sent to Jan Caraccilo at 13 Leland Drive, Seneca Falls, New York 13148, or emailed to [email protected] by December 31, 2024.
