A Horseheads man was arrested Dec. 6 following a fraud investigation involving a local credit union, New York State Police reported.
Joshua Seidel, 32, faces charges of third-degree grand larceny, first-degree identity theft, and second-degree possession of a forged instrument, all class D felonies. Police say Seidel deposited counterfeit checks through First Heritage Federal Credit Union and transferred $3,700.
Seidel was processed in Village of Horseheads Court and released. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m.
