No. 11 William Smith soccer falls to No. 1 Washington (Mo.) in National Championship

The soccer season is over for the No. 11 William Smith Herons as they fell 3-0 to No. 1 Washington (Mo.) in the NCAA Division III National Championship on Sunday afternoon at Johann Memorial Stadium in Las Vegas.

After a scoreless first half, the Bears (23-0-2, 6-0-1) found the back of the net three times in the second half, with goals from Ally Hackett, Olivia Clemons, and Gaelen Clayton.

Goalkeeper Kirsten Nelson made seven saves for the Herons (17-4-4, 6-1-2).
