  • Staff Report

SunFed Produce, LLC has recalled its whole fresh American cucumbers due to potential Salmonella contamination, the FDA announced.

The cucumbers, distributed between October 12 and November 26, 2024, were shipped to multiple U.S. states and Canadian provinces. Affected cucumbers were sold in bulk containers labeled “SunFed” or in generic packaging marked with the grower’s name, Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.

Consumers are urged to discard or destroy the recalled cucumbers, which may carry PLU stickers. Symptoms of Salmonella infection include fever, diarrhea, and nausea, with severe cases risking bloodstream infections.

Those feeling unwell after consuming the product should contact a healthcare provider. For questions, call SunFed’s recall hotline at (888) 542-5849.
