A Galen woman faces multiple charges following a domestic disturbance that escalated into robbery and child endangerment.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Jolene L. Laplant, of Daboll Road, on Thursday afternoon. Deputies say Laplant caused a disturbance at a family member’s home, demanding money and shoving a 14-year-old during the altercation.
According to investigators, Laplant took a wallet from the teenager, removed $100, and fled the scene. Deputies located her nearby and took her into custody.
Laplant has been charged with third-degree robbery, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, petit larceny, and second-degree harassment.
After processing, Laplant was transported to the Wayne County Jail. She is scheduled for arraignment on Friday morning. Authorities did not release further details about the incident.
