Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan (R,C-Manchester) officially opened his new satellite office at the Moravia Town Hall on Tuesday, giving constituents a more accessible way to connect with state government.
The office, located at 1630 State Route 38, will operate Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., providing a space where residents can voice their concerns, seek assistance with state agencies, or share opinions on legislative matters.
“I am excited to open this new office to best serve my constituents,” said Assemblyman Gallahan. “As your assemblyman, I’m committed to being present in the great communities I serve and bringing your voice to state government. Many thanks to the Town of Moravia for hosting my new office.”
Local officials, including Moravia Town Supervisor Eddie Shea, joined Gallahan to celebrate the office’s launch. Shea emphasized the importance of having a legislative presence in the eastern portion of the district, noting that the office’s location will make it easier for residents to engage with their assemblyman.
“With the district spread from west to east, it was clear there was a need for a presence in the eastern region,” Shea said. “It only took a minute to realize that Moravia was a great location for that satellite office.”
Assemblyman Gallahan represents the 131st Assembly District, encompassing parts of Ontario, Seneca, Cayuga, Cortland, Broome, Chenango, and Madison Counties. The Moravia office is part of his commitment to bridging the gap between Albany and local communities.
