A Springport man was arrested and charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing three packs of cigarettes from the Pit Stop gas station in Fleming earlier this month.
According to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck, deputies responded to the reported larceny on November 7 at approximately 5:57 p.m. Surveillance footage captured a clear image of the suspect, which was shared on the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office social media page.
An anonymous tip submitted through the SaferWatch app helped identify the suspect as 45-year-old Randy A. Grader of Springport. Grader was taken into custody and processed at the Public Safety Building, where he was charged with petit larceny under New York State Penal Law. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Fleming Town Court on November 26 at 5 p.m.
