Authorities say the incident occurred in the 600 block of Chestnut Street, where shots were fired into an apartment shortly after a physical altercation.
Police received initial reports of a dispute at approximately 5:00 a.m. as they responded to the scene. While en route, multiple 911 callers reported hearing gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence indicating that after the physical confrontation, gunshots were fired into the residence. Thankfully, although the home was occupied, no injuries were reported.
Investigators collected several pieces of evidence corroborating accounts from those involved. Police have confirmed that the parties were known to each other and that the incident was not random, mitigating concerns about a broader threat to the community.
