The Bloomfield girls volleyball team entered Friday having won 21 consecutive games, including sectionals, but unfortunately, their magic ran out.
The Bombers (21-1) fell 3-0 to Section VI’s Portville (20-0) in the Class C Regional at Lake Shore High School.
Despite the loss, Bloomfield made it tough on the Panthers, who are looking for a fourth straight state title. Portville managed to pick up a 25-19 win in the opening set before taking the next two 25-22 and 25-15.
Portville advances to the state tournament, which begins Friday, November 22, at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls.
