Schuyler County launches digital passport with exclusive deals

Schuyler County launches digital passport with exclusive deals

Beginning November 1, the Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce is rolling out “Shop Schuyler,” a mobile-exclusive digital passport designed to offer local shoppers access to discounts, deals, and rewards from businesses across Schuyler County. The program, which runs through the end of November, encourages residents and visitors alike to explore local shops, save money, and earn prizes as they shop.

“Shop Schuyler” is simple to access—no app download is needed. Shoppers can receive the passport via text or email, allowing them to immediately start unlocking exclusive deals. Each visit to participating businesses, whether in-store or online, earns points toward prizes. Accumulate enough points, and shoppers can claim rewards, all while supporting local businesses.

To kick off the launch, the Chamber is offering a special giveaway: the first 50 people to visit the Watkins Glen Visitor Center at 214 N. Franklin St. from November 1 to November 4 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. will receive a free Shop Schuyler Tote Bag. Each bag includes a Shop Schuyler sticker and a surprise $5 gift card, available while supplies last and limited to one per person.

“This is a fun, accessible way to support our local economy while enjoying special savings and rewards,” the Chamber announced. Shoppers can follow updates on new deals and discounts throughout the month. For more information or to sign up, visit explorewatkinsglen.com/shoplocal.

“Shop Schuyler” provides a win-win for local business and the community, encouraging local engagement with exclusive discounts, opportunities to support local stores, and a chance to win rewards.
