Vice President Kamala Harris holds a slim 46% to 43% lead over former President Donald Trump in a tight race, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Tuesday. The poll, conducted over six days, reflects deep voter dissatisfaction with the state of the economy and immigration.
Trump leads on economic and immigration issues, with 46% and 48% support respectively. However, Harris is favored on addressing political extremism and threats to democracy, leading Trump by 42% to 35%. Both candidates are locked in close contests in key battleground states.
The poll suggests a highly motivated electorate, with 79% of registered voters expressing certainty they will vote. As the Nov. 5 election approaches, voter turnout will be critical in determining the outcome.
