Parents urged to check their baby swings as Fisher-Price recalls over 2 million units due to deadly hazard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday that all models of Fisher-Price Snuga Swings are being recalled after five infant deaths were reported between 2012 and 2022. The incidents involved infants aged 1 to 3 years old who were unrestrained and had bedding materials added to the swings. The recalled products, manufactured in China and Mexico and sold nationwide from October 2010 to January 2024, include various models like the My Little Snugabunny Swing and Sweet Snugapuppy Swing.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the swings for sleep, remove the headrest and body support inserts, and avoid adding any bedding materials. Fisher-Price is offering a $25 refund to those who destroy the headrest and body support insert; details are available at service.mattel.com.
