Man threatened person with hammer and knife, fled incident in Campbell

State Police arrested a Horseheads man on October 7 following a domestic dispute in which he allegedly threatened a victim with a hammer and knife.

Troopers from SP Horseheads responded to a residence on Moss Hill Road, where an investigation revealed that 32-year-old Dean Campbell had menaced the victim while acting erratically. Campbell fled the scene but was later located on South Avenue in the village of Horseheads and taken into custody.

Campbell was charged with menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, both misdemeanors. He was processed at SP Horseheads and arraigned in the Town of Big Flats Court before being released. Campbell is scheduled to appear in the Town of Horseheads Court on October 8 at 7:00 p.m.
