Ithaca College will conduct a routine test of its Outdoor Warning System during the noon hour on Thursday, September 19. The test is part of the college’s efforts to ensure the system is functioning properly and to raise awareness among students and staff.
During the test, local residents may hear a siren followed by a loudspeaker announcement clarifying that it is only a drill. No action is necessary from the public.
At the same time, Ithaca College will also test its IC Alert Emergency Notification System, which sends emergency alerts via voice calls, texts, emails, and digital signage to the campus community.
