Trump blames stock market drop on Harris, calling it “Kamala Crash”

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has labeled a recent stock market dip the “Kamala Crash,” using the market volatility to criticize his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris. The market rebounded on Tuesday, with several economists noting the drop was not indicative of broader economic issues.

Despite Trump’s claims, economic data shows low unemployment and easing inflation, countering fears of an imminent crisis. Trump’s campaign is using the stock sell-off to highlight his economic credentials, contrasting them with what they describe as failed policies under President Joe Biden’s administration.

The Harris campaign has not commented on Trump’s remarks. Economists, including Harvard’s Larry Summers, dismissed Trump’s claims as lacking serious analysis, emphasizing the resilience of the current economy.
