The New York State Sheriffs’ Camp Iroquois at Keuka Lake offers disadvantaged kids a chance to bond with law enforcement while enjoying outdoor activities.
At Camp Iroquois, kids aged 9 to 12 participate in kayaking, canoeing, sailing, swimming, archery, hiking, and arts and crafts. The camp creates a fun and trusting environment, as the children don’t realize their instructors are deputies until the final day.
The camp has been running since 1977, with many former campers returning as counselors to help the next generation.
