Police arrested a Waterloo man following a sex abuse investigation two days after an incident in the village.
On June 24 at approximately 7:02 p.m. Charles J Asbury, age 44, of Waterloo was arrested for Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, Forcible Touching, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree.
The arrest stems from an incident occurring on June 22 where it is alleged Asbury made sexual comments to a 12-year-old juvenile and then proceeded to hold the juvenile down on a couch while touching the juvenile’s intimate body parts.
Asbury was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment and an order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim.
