Ontario Man Arrested for DWI on Route 104

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Ontario man after finding him in a disabled vehicle on Route 104.

Deputies charged Oleksandr Banakh, 42, of Ontario, with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test. They found Banakh asleep in his vehicle with the keys in the ignition and detected alcohol on his breath. Banakh failed field sobriety tests.

Banakh was taken to the Wayne County Jail and refused a chemical test. He awaits arraignment and will appear in Williamson Town Court later.
