Wellsville Man Charged with Murder in Steuben Shooting

Bradly J. Maddalena, 24, of Wellsville, has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Wayne E. Mosher, 57, of Woodhull, over the weekend, Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports.

Around 8:44 a.m. on Saturday, a man called 911, saying he had been in a fight and shot someone on County Route 101. Deputies and investigators arrived on the scene, and the Steuben County Evidence Collection Team processed multiple areas over 20 hours.

Police say Maddalena intentionally shot Mosher. He was arrested, arraigned, and sent to Steuben County Jail without bail. The Woodhull Volunteer Fire Department, Steuben Emergency Management Office, and New York State Police assisted in the investigation.
