Seneca Falls police took a local teen into custody after a shoplifting investigation.
Alexander McDermott, 19, was arrested on June 22 for shoplifting at the Walmart on North Road, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department.
Police say McDermott took multiple items from the store without paying. He was charged with one count of petit larceny.
McDermott was released with an appearance ticket and will answer the charges in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date.
