Seneca County Students Attend Leadership Conference

Four juniors from Seneca County have been selected to attend the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Empire Girls State at SUNY Brockport from June 30 to July 6, 2024. This weeklong program teaches students about county and state government processes.

The selected students are Myah Herron and Amelia Reese from Mynderse Academy, Ruth Dendis from South Seneca Central School, and Morgan Kisner from Romulus Central School. They were chosen based on their academic performance and community involvement. Herron and Reese are sponsored by Kirk-Casey ALA #366 in Seneca Falls, while Dendis and Kisner are sponsored by Manning-Lilla ALA #463 in Ovid.

During the conference, students will participate in mock elections, learn parliamentary procedures, and engage in political debates. This experience aims to foster leadership and patriotism among young women.
