OptiPro, a Wayne County optics machinery manufacturer, is expanding again, adding 23 jobs as part of a nearly $4 million project, Empire State Development (ESD) announced last week.
OptiPro is extending its Dean Parkway facility by 16,000 square feet to boost efficiency and manufacturing operations. The company, which was founded in 1982, designs and builds precision optics and advanced ceramics machinery. OptiPro will create up to 23 new jobs and retain 98 existing positions.
ESD is providing up to $250,000 through the Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit Program to support the job creation. Wayne County and Greater Rochester Enterprise are also assisting with the project. OptiPro President Rob Bechtold said the expansion will allow the company to meet growing customer demand across various sectors, including automotive, aerospace, and military industries.
